Removing Bong Calendar from Xiomi MIUI task killer

Task killers are often used by many of the Android users. But it is not always that helpful. If you are using our widgets , you may find problems with the clock . It may freeze and not update with time.

Here in this blog we will show how to remove Bong Calendar from Xiomi MIUI task killer to make it work properly.

(Some of the Xiomi devices like Redmi notes , Redmi , MI 3 , MI 4 etc)

When you run Bong Calendar you should see the icon in the task killer list like below :

Now pull the icon downwards and you should find a lock icon

It removes the app from Task Killer Killing list! You should see the lock icon tagged with the app icon like below and the widget should run properly now.

Bong Calendar India Version 2.3.8

We have made few changes and incorporated some new features in Bong Calendar India. We will list those here , hope it will be helpful.

1. Now you have the 'tithi' timing for festive days right there on the grid itself . Click on the marked cell and get the information .

If you click on the cells with a gray triangle shown at top right , you will get a pop up like below containing the 'tithi' timing.

*** Please note this information is available on both the 'Panjika' s (only) for current Bengali Year in calendar page . And it differs for some instances . ( If you go by the correctness of it , 'Drik/Bishudha Sidhanta' gives you accurate result for any given day . On the other hand Surya Sidhanta provides wrong data most of the time . Some old 'Panjika' makers still use Surya Sidhanta. So , it is up to your belief . )

2. Our date converter has a new look :

Check out the new next and previous buttons for dates .

Enable Lockscreen widget in bong calendar India!

Android supports lock screen widgets from Jelly Bean 4.3 .

So , to enable lock screen widgets you need Jelly Bean 4.3 or later version installed in your device.

Here we will show how to enable lock screen widget for your favorite android Bengali Calendar in three simple steps!

Step 1 :

Enable Widgets under security option under settings .

Step 2 :

Slide the home screen when locked towards left :

Click to select Bong Calendar from the list :

Have you ever seen two bengali calendars or newspapers showing two different dates on a same day ? This happens because in west Bengal people follow two different schools of Bengali Calendars. The 'Drik/Bisudha Sidhanta Calculation' and 'The Surjya Sidhanta Based Calculation’. So if you get a mismatch,  just select the 'Ponjika' and you won't be disappointed ! We have covered it both. By the way 'Drik Sidhanta' is more scientific (just FYI).
